Note: First priority is given to EMS and Fire Department personnel. If tuition is being paid by EMS or Fire Department, students must show department authorization or be registered by the Chief or Training Officer.

Prerequisite: Entrance exam. Exam fee of $60 must be paid in advance by individuals paying their own tuition.  Documentation of immunizations required prior to start of class:
1. Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
2. Hepatitis B series (series of 3 injections, documentation of 1st injection  or documentation of refusal).
3. TB (Mantoux test) within past year.
4. Seasonal flu shot


Required for EMT certification in Ohio. Certified EMT's administer emergency pre-hospital care as members of a rescue squad, ambulance service, fire department or as safety personnel in business and industry. This class follows the training program schedule approved by the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Division of EMS. WCSCC Adult & Community Education is accredited by the Division of EMS as an EMT training institute - accreditation number 132.

170 hours

Dates:  January 19, 2017 - May 20, 2017

Times:  6:30-9:30pm Monday & Thursday &  8am - 2:00pm every other Saturday

Tuition: $1200* Book: $160 Clinical Liability Fee: $15
*Does not include $80 National Registry Exam Fee!
