Skills: 
  • Perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical techniques to maintain building systems
  • Operate and maintain advanced environmental control systems
  • Work with professionals in the classroon and at public and commercial facilities
Credentials: 
  • You will complete one welding certification test in accordance with the standards set forth by the American Welding society.
  • In this program you will complete 110 hours of on-the-job training with a participating company sponsor.
  • Certificate of Completion & Career Portfolio
  • You may earn 24 credits towards a B.S. in Applied Management at Franklin University.
  • You are eligible to earn 20 credits towards an Associate of Technical Studies Program with Wayne College and The University of Akron.

This 735-hour program is designed to prepare you to become an entry-level maintenance technician by providing training in basic electricity, residential wiring, industrial wiring, plumbing, wleding, reading, construction drawing, carpentry and HVAC fundamentals.

 

Your courses are scheduled every week Monday through Thursday from 4:00 - 10:00 p.m. and each semester you will also attend a few Friday sessions from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
